...And I love Angelina! Her writing, that is. She can go from darkly disturbing to warmly romantic, sometimes all within the same story! Angelina is one of my absolute favorite writers, and even when her stories do disturb me, I cannot stop reading them, and often find myself thinking about them hours, sometimes days later. Personal favorites are Songbook, Signal To Noise, A Thousand Beautiful Things and its sequel The Saddest Song I've Got. These all end well, but the one that haunts me most is Mobile Unit Body (Entity) (a dark, delicious read that does not 'end well' at all - consider yourself warned!)
Can I tell you how much I love Boadicea and Kelly's Baby Demon? I would, but I remember nothing from before this place... This is one I always come back to, one that I read over and over again.
Home to the hot-and-steamy goodness that is Tenderware's fanfiction. When I rank my favorite J/7 stories of all time, Sustenance still clamors for the top spot - its creativity never ceases to 'tickle my imagination' (among other things! ;). Sensations, Transported and Bride of Arachnia are also fabulous. Otter has some truly wonderful stories here as well, especially The Hunt. And don't miss the excellent Perchance to Dream, which helped to inspire my own "Bound." :)
Several marvelous stories here, especially Onyx's Honor -- Rebels and Romulans and boots, oh my! And don't forget to check out the Guest Page, in particular Nona Joyce's beautiful, lyrical and bracing-as-it-sounds Black Coffee. Also try Lan's No Less Human -- it is no less than magnificent (and definitely worth the download.) It's a completely original take on the J/7 dynamic that's full of "sex, romance, angst, action," and really, what more could you possibly want?
Apparently Mojor's Holodeck is no more, but you can still read some of her vastly entertaining stories at fanfiction.net (thanks to those of you who wrote in with the new link! :) Symphony Twisted is one of my absolute favorites -- I love the premise, which begs the question, "if we didn't know our own identities, would we still be who we are?" Would we be essentially the same, or would circumstances allow us to explore different sides of ourselves, different possibilities? Other stories have raised this question, but few have answered it as intriguingly as Mojor.
How could I not list Gina Dartt's site? Not only is it home to both the vastly entertaining (and comprehensive!) Just Between and Millennium series, but she has some wonderful "one-shots" as well. The Morning After is hilarious, and Fear & Hope, Cause & Effect, and Someone To Watch Over Her are all simply superb.
This is the ultimate "and the rest" site -- with wonderful stories that cross several fandoms, from Buffy to Xena and back again. Although the Voyager offerings are few, there are some great J/7 stories to be found here, in particular Pink Rabbit Productions' Not Just Strip Poker -- a fantastic, fun read! (And for something new and different, try Pink Rabbit's "Birds of Prey" stories -- two very enthusiastic thumbs up! :)
Home of Anik LaChev's fabulous, fantastic Campus series, one of the best things you'll ever read on the internet, or anywhere else, IMHO. This story truly has the makings of a great novel... when it's finished.:) (Of special note -- while waiting for the next chapter of Campus to be posted, try a sexy Phantom of the Opera slant to J/7 uber, Quando me'n vo. And for a superlative answer to "Endgame," try Game's End.)
